DEEL
DEEL is a community of a growing number of local car sharing coöperatives. At the date of writing, we have 10 cooperatives as members, and we share around 50 cars. Every month, the numbers grow! Today (December 2024) 3 groups are preparing to start, adding around 15 cars to the total fleet.
DEEL started in 2019 in The Hague with 25 households; today, the total number of households is around 500. We now have cooperatives in The Hague, Amsterdam, Utrecht, and Waterland and are soon starting in Nijmegen, Apeldoorn, Amersfoort, and Zwolle. DEEL believes in distributed knowledge and local resilience. We, therefore, guide citizens through the process of mounting their own local cooperatives. All these local communities share the same purpose: helping our cities, towns, and villages become natural environments where nature and city are no longer two different entities.
